Virtual Reality in Architecture at CAEx Build & Co. 2026

How can an architectural project be transformed from a conventional design application into an immersive virtual environment? Virtual reality technologies offer one solution, allowing professionals to explore and interact with architectural projects before they are built.

As part of the business programme at CAEx Build & Co. 2026, a series of lectures titled True Immersive Virtual Reality for Architecture will be held in collaboration with Central Asian University (CAU). The speaker will be Aruse Arkani, Lecturer and Project Coordinator at CAU’s Faculty of Architecture and Design.

Participants will explore the tools and techniques used to transform architectural models into interactive VR environments. The programme will cover the following topics:

  • From any software to Unity Game Engine — working with architectural models and preparing projects for interactive visualization.
  • Baked vs Real-Time Lighting— approaches to lighting setup for realistic architectural visualization.
  • Locomotion and Interactivity — techniques for moving through and interacting with virtual building and interior models.
  • Basics of Optimization for Real-Time Graphics — improving the performance of VR projects while maintaining visual quality.

The lectures will be useful for architects, designers and students in related fields who want to expand their digital visualization skills and explore new ways to present architectural projects.

CAEx Build & Co. 2026 is the 3rd International Exhibition of Building Materials, Technologies and Construction Solutions, taking place on 19–21 November 2026 at the CAEx exhibition complex in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
